I am planning a Disney trip in Aug. We just bought a DVC time share so I know we will come back many times - but it is our first trip there with 5 year old twins (boy/girl) -- am I going to be able to make reservations for anything this late? Advice!

    Hi Anne,

Congratulations and Welcome Home! You are going to love visiting the Disney Vacation Club properties.

I have booked a vacation two weeks in advance and have gotten what I needed. It really depends on the inventory available. I recommend you call Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 and ask the cast members to help you look at resort availability.  If you have flexibility in your travel dates, this may make it easier to find a location which works for your family. I recommend either Beach Club, Boardwalk or Bay Lake Towers for the ease of travel between resorts. You will not always be on a bus to go to and from the parks. This is a great feature with little ones in strollers. Also, they are easy to get back to for an afternoon nap or swim.

You might also need to adjust your room choices. My family would take a studio. However, you may want a one or two bedroom so you can put your twins down and then you unwind after a day at the parks. The one bedrooms and up also have a washer and dryer which can be helpful.

Wishing you a magical first time home!
    Beth
