    We are planning our Disney trip for April 2016. My husband is retired Navy and I wanted to know what specials will be available to military/retired personnel for tickets? I see there is a special going on now but it ends September 30,2015?

    Hi, Scott!  As the spouse of a retired Navy guy myself, I was anxiously awaiting information on what military folks refer to as the Armed Forces Salute tickets.  I've got GREAT news!  Just as I sat down to my computer to answer this question, I got an email confirming the extension of this great discount program for our service men and women.

    The 2016 Armed Forces four day discounted tickets will be available to purchase beginning 3 January 2016, and the 2016 promotion runs through 16 December 2016.  The four day park hopper or water parks and more tickets are being offered at the amazing rate of $196.00.  You can have both the park hopper option and the water parks and more option for $230.00 for the four day pass.  

    The passes can be used up until 19 December 2016.  There is also the option to upgrade the passes to an annual pass, but this must be done by 16 December 2016.

    As of now, the only blockout dates are 20 March through 1 April 2016.  I see you are going in April, so I hope this doesn't impact your trip.

    As always, there is a limit of six discounted tickets per service member.
