We are planning on being at Disney Springs may 14th and going to do a baby reveal for my daughter with a scavenger hunt ending with the reveal. Wanted to reveal with a Mickey balloon pink or blue. Where can we purchase this and can it be covered with a bag

    Hi Lisa!

How exciting that you are planning a baby reveal at Walt Disney World! That will be an extremely exciting story for you to share with your grandchild! Just imagine years from now telling them, "We shared that you were a girl/boy at the most magical place on earth!"

A scavenger hunt is such a cute idea as well! I can imagine your group scurrying through Disney Springs, checking out the wonderful shopping, dining, and entertainment options while discovering little hints along the way that reveal the gender of your sweet bundle of joy!

The good news is that the only places at Walt Disney World that prohibit balloons are Disney's Animal Kingdom, the ESPN Wide World of Sports, the NBA Experience, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I have seen balloons for sale in Disney Springs previously, usually near the Lime Garage. In 2021, I saw balloons were themed after the movie Up, but during my last visit I do not recall seeing any balloons for sale.

On the other hand, I have seen the pink and blue Mickey Mouse balloons consistently sold at Disney's Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Given the importance of having these specific balloons for the gender reveal, I highly recommend visiting Disney's Magic Kingdom prior to the event. I am hesitant to assure you that you can find them at Disney Springs. If you are not visiting Magic Kingdom prior to the gender reveal, you could visit a local grocery store and purchase pink and blue balloons there and then bring them to Disney Springs. You will need to go through security when you arrive at Disney Springs, so you will be unable to completely conceal the balloons in a bag. Likely, you will need to open your bag to show security what's inside.

Please tell your daughter congratulations from planDisney!
    Magically,
    Stacy
