    Planning our Disney Spring Break trip in March. Husband and son are going to golf one day. If we decided to fly, do you recommend taking clubs on plane or shipping to hotel before we leave? Any idea how much it costs to ship clubs? Thank You!

    With gas prices so high, airlines are always looking for ways to make up the price of flying without attaching it to a ticket. This means checked bag fees for most.

    Even if the airline you are flying offers a free checked bag, you might be over on weight. If your clubs are over 50 lbs, you will pay an overweight bag fee as well. You will need to look at the individual carrier to see what the exact fees would be.

    As for shipping them to your resort and then home again, the sooner you can send them the less expensive the price of shipping. You can look at FedEx, DHL or the Post Office for rates on sending your golf clubs. You might also arrange pre-paid return so the clubs could be pick up at your resort without bringing them to a business center.
