Hi. We are planning on Disney in Oct/10. The wishes dessert party sounds wonderful. Do you get to sit to watch the fireworks? One agent at reservations said it was standing room only, but sounds like can be seated for the fireworks. Which is correct?

Hi Robert! My family attended the Fireworks Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom a few months ago. Here's the deal: when you enter the party, you'll be escorted to a table reserved for your group. (My understanding is that the earlier you book, the better your table.) When we were seated, the castmember told us that we were free to stand along the railing to view Wishes, but that we could not pull chairs over to the railing. She indicated that most guests would stand along the railing to view the fireworks. Although the particular table at which my family was seated had a good view of Cinderella's Castle, the higher fireworks were blocked by the roof of the Tomorrowland Terrace, where the party is held. For this reason, and because all of the other guests would be standing along the railing in front of us if we remained at our table, I chose to stand as well. You're welcome to remain at your table for the fireworks, and a few people did, however, you should know that most people will stand and that you likely won't have a complete view of Wishes if you stay seated.  It's certainly more relaxing to sit and munch on desserts while watching the fireworks, and you are able to do that if you wish, but the view is better if you stand.

Hope this helps! Have a great time in October!
