Hello, We are planning on going to Disney on Oct 27 - Nov. 4 2012. My mother-in-law was trying to find out when they will be lighting the Castle for Christmas.

    Hi Ashely,

The exact dates for the 2012 Christmas events have not yet been released.

While I can't for sure when the holiday festivities will begin, my educated guess is that they won't quite have started by November 4. The Halloween season is a big deal at Walt Disney World. There will certainly be a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on October 31, and likely on November 1 as well. Then the cast members need a few days to turn Halloween into Christmas.

On the plus side, the Halloween Party is loads of fun, you should keep an eye out for the Halloween party dates and consider working that into your touring schedule.

Good luck with your planning and please let us know if you need more information.
