Ahoy, Kate!
With 2017 winding down, it's not too early to begin "DREAM"ing up your vacation plans for 2019. One of my best tips is to book a Disney Cruise vacation as soon as dates are released for the best rates, so you're definitely on course to do just that! The Disney Dream offers an incredible vacation experience for friends and families of all ages wanting to experience a magical time together on the high seas!
Kate, you've brought up an excellent question about what happens when not all members of a group traveling aboard Disney Cruise Line book
Concierge. The answer to your first two questions is YES! You can absolutely dine together each evening and enjoy playing games, watching a movie or viewing a stunning sunset from a Concierge Suite. To make sure you all dine together, you'll want to share the non-Concierge Guests' information with the shoreside Concierge Team during the pre-arrival planning process so it's noted on everyone's reservation information.
There are some perks that only the Guests staying Concierge will be able to experience while on the Disney Dream. If your group plans to arrive together, the Concierge Guests will have a separate line to check-in, a waiting lounge area and be able to board first. Once aboard, Concierge Guests enjoy a reception in the Concierge Lounge and meet their Concierge Team. If you all want to board together, the Concierge Guests will need to board during the regular boarding process. During the cruise, the Concierge Lounge is only for those Guests staying Concierge, so non-Concierge Guests will not be able to take advantage of the Special Gatherings offered, Pre-Dinner Cocktail Receptions or popping in for a dessert or snack during the day. The other exclusive amenity is the sun deck, which offers loungers, a hot tub along with drinks and snacks.
I hope this helps, Kate!
