Welcome aboard, Katie! Your family is going to have such a magical vacation when you set sail with Disney Cruise Line this fall! Fall is one of my favorite times to cruise with Captain Mickey and his crew!
Disney Cruise Line's staterooms all include a mini-fridge, so you'll be able to use that to store any foods you bring onboard. Just be sure that any food you bring is unopened in the original packaging. Additionally, if you plan to bring your own drinks onboard, those must be carried on in your carry-on luggage, and cannot be in your checked luggage.
You mentioned that your son has severe food allergies. Let me assure you that Disney Cruise Line is top notch at assisting guests with food allergies. They want all of their guests to leave the ship having enjoyed delicious food all day and night. If you haven't done so already, you may want to contact the
Special Services Team to discuss your son's severe allergies with them. They can walk you through the steps they take onboard and even before you arrive, to be sure that your son will have plenty of delicious and safe options when he dines. Disney suggests that guests with food allergies plan to eat all of their meals in the table service restaurants onboard, as opposed to the quick service or buffet spots, as these table service restaurants have kitchens that are better set up to handle food allergies.
I promise that your son will have so many yummy and safe meals available to him onboard, Katie! Speak with the Special Services team and they can give you even more details. In the meantime, have fun checking out all of the
fun activities that await your family at sea when you set sail with Disney this fall!
Happy planning!
