Hi - We are planning a Disney cruise from the Miami port of call in December '14. Ground transportation was an option when I was booking. However, I want to fly into Ft. Lauderdale vs Miami International.

Welcome aboard, Rob! This winter will be a great time to get out of chilly Missouri and head to Miami to set sail with Disney Cruise Line!

Unfortunately, Disney does not offer ground transfers from the Ft. Lauderdale airport to the port of Miami (only from the Miami airport), so you'll need to arrange your own private transportation on the way there. Do a google search for this, as there are many transportation companies in the area that drive that route. However, I do have some great news about your return trip!

Guests onboard the ship in Miami can book the Hop On Hop Off Miami City Tour with airport transfers after their cruise. This is such a great idea for those who have a late flight out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. You'll get to leave the ship and your luggage will be stored in a secure area while you have a tour of one of two loops in Miami. Check out South Beach or the Miami City loop. Hop off to explore and hop back on when the next bus comes around. Then, when it's time to head to the airport, your bus will have you transfer and take you to the airport with your luggage. It doesn't get easier than that! Plus, it saves you from sitting in the airport all day. Disney does offer this for guests flying out of both airports. They just note that guests flying from Ft. Lauderdale must have domestic flights after 2:30 (or international flights after 3:30). There are two times after your tour that the shuttle will leave for the Ft. Lauderdale airport, either noon or 2:00 p.m.

This adventure can currently only be booked onboard, not ahead of time, so I suggest that the week before you sail, you contact Disney Cruise Line just to ensure that this option is still available for your particular sailing. I hope those details help, Rob! Happy planning and let me know if you have other questions!
