I am planning a Disney cruise for my dad and myself. Can I make a reservation for 2 now and then add a 3rd person (my sister) at a later date? On the website it looks like there is a penalty for adding or subtracting people on the reservation.

    Ahoy, Kathryn!

I'm so glad you navigated your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your question about booking your cruise! When you are ready to book, it is always best to book the maximum amount of guests that could possibly be going on your cruise. You will have to pay the required deposit for each Guest. Then, you have until 75 days prior to sailing to change or cancel your reservation with no penalty.

It is difficult to add a Guest to a stateroom at a later date for a couple of reasons. Even if the stateroom can accommodate another passenger, if the lifeboat station has filled, you will be unable to add someone to your room. This could result in your having to change staterooms, and you could possibly have to pay more for a similar room. Also, by booking all of your Guests early, you will lock in the rate of your booking day for your cruise. As a sailing fills up with passengers, the staterooms become increasingly more expensive.

I hope this helps with your cruise planning. Please let us know if we can answer more questions for you before your voyage on the high seas with Mickey and friends!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
