Planning a disney combi holiday resort for week then a cruise . As part of the booking will disney transfer us from resort to disney ship? Also on return day is it possible to arrange a transfer back one of the parks then a later pick up back to airport

Welcome aboard, Kerry-anne! My family's favorite vacation is just as you described: a land and sea vacation with a stay at the Walt Disney World Resort and a cruise with Disney Cruise Line! Your family is in for all sorts of fun and excitement both at the parks and at sea.

Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers from the resorts at Walt Disney World to Port Canaveral. If you haven't already added these to your reservation, go ahead and give the agents at Disney Cruise Line a call at 800-951-3532 (or your travel agent) to book these transfers. There is an additional cost of $35 per person each way, but I promise it is worth every penny to let Disney take care of the details. You'll be picked up that morning and whisked away in comfort as you watch a video about Disney Cruise Line, followed by classic Disney cartoons for the kids, and before you know it, you'll be arriving at Port Canaveral, ready to board the ship! It really doesn't get any easier than this!

Now, on the way back, Disney offers ground transfers again to those guests who have booked a stay at one of the Walt Disney World resorts after the cruise. It sounds, though, like you'll be flying out later that day, so that won't be a transportation option for you. Many guests who just want to pop over to Downtown Disney or visit the parks for a few hours before heading to the airport after their cruise find it's easiest to simply rent a car at the port. There are many car rental spots in the port area, so look up your favorite rental agency and see if they have a location near Cocoa Beach or Cape Canaveral. Most likely they'll pick you up at the port and take you to their location. You can easily do a one way rental so you can drive about an hour to the Walt Disney World Resort area, spend the rest of your day exploring and playing, then drive to the Orlando International Airport where you can return your car.

Kerry-anne,  please stop back again if you have any other questions before you set sail!
