Hi, we are planning to have dinner at Shiki-Sai in March. I hope to get the table to watch the Luminous The Symphony of Us (9 PM). How can I get a window seat? And what time should we make a reservation for? Thank you very much

Konnichiwa, Kunatum, and thanks for stopping by planDisney! You'll be at Walt Disney World Resort in a flash, so let's talk about one of my favorite EPCOT restaurants there, Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya.

My husband and I have often eaten at this restaurant, and the view from that picture window is breathtaking. We've watched daytime crowds while dining on sushi, and we've seen a fabulous sunset or two while sipping tea. There's something so peaceful and happy about this dining experience themed to the four seasons.

I checked the calendar for the week of your visit, and Luminous The Symphony of Us is scheduled to begin around 9:00 PM nightly, but showtimes are always subject to change. I suggest booking a reservation at Shiki-Sai around 8:00-8:45 PM for a good chance of being seated for the show. You're within your booking window, so I hope you'll be able to schedule that as soon as you can.

My tip is to stop by about half an hour before your reservation and let the hostess know you'd like to sit at a window table. They won't be able to guarantee it, but when we've let them know ahead of time, we've gotten lucky. And even if you aren't right beside the window, most tables in the main dining area will have great views of the show.

If you visit EPCOT throughout the year, be sure to ask for a Shiki-Sai reward card. After each meal you've had during a different season, your server will stamp your card. You'll get a special surprise once you have a stamp for all four seasons. I'm hanging on tightly to my card; I only need a summer stamp!

Kunatum, I hope your upcoming visit is full of food, fireworks, and fun. Let me know which sushi roll you get! My favorite is the Spicy Crunch Roll. Please come back to planDisney anytime. Mata ne!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
