Hi! We were planning on dining at Crystal Palace on September 16th, but see that the park closes at 18:00 that day due to a Halloween event. Are we still able to make reservations for this day, or is a special ticket needed to be able to dine in MK?

    Hiya Tamara,

Welcome to planDisney, I am so glad you stopped by. You are headed to Walt Disney World at a perfect time. Not only will you be able to enjoy all the magic of The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, you will also be there during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. The festival takes your taste buds on a journey across six continents with delicious food and drinks from all over the world. Bring your appetite and sense of adventure!

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticket event at Magic Kingdom on select evenings in September and October. Guests that attend Magic Kingdom on the day of a scheduled party will need to exit at 6:00 PM EST unless they are holding a party ticket. No worries though, even with the early park closing for daytime guests, there is still plenty of time for you to enjoy dinner at Crystal Palace. As long as your reservation time is prior to the scheduled park closing, you will be fine. You will also be able to enjoy dinner leisurely with no need to skip that extra trip through the buffet. If dinner runs past park closing and in to the start of the Halloween party, a Cast Member will simply escort you to the park exit when you are finished. Utilizing Dining Reservations you should only see available dining times prior to park closing. You should be offered any seating times after the party start time unless you have a ticket for this special event on your My Disney Experience account.

If you are able to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, I definitely recommend it. Not only will you have the chance to enjoy your favorite attractions, you will also be able to enjoy special character meet and greets, yummy treats, entertainment and fireworks only seen on party nights and best of all, Mickey's Boo to You! Halloween Parade. It is spooktacular! Please be sure to stop back and see me if you have any additional planning questions.

    With pixie dust,
