    Planning a Dec 10 trip for family with 2 daughters 6&3years old. Trying to decide b/t coronado because of queen bed and PO riverside because of trundle bed. Which would you recommend? Looking for easy trans within hotel resort and good dining options

    Thanks for writing in to me at the Moms Panel!

    Personally, I would highly recommend Port Orleans (either Riverside or French Quarter) for all the reasons you state: Great food and a good transportation options with the resort.

    While both Coronado and Riverside are larger resorts, I personally prefer the layout of Port Orleans Riverside over that of Coronado Springs. To me, the main feature pool seems more centrally located at Port Orleans Riverside as well.

    While both resorts offer both quick service and sit-down dining, Port Orleans Riverside has a distinct advantage here. With the Port Orleans French Quarter restaurant right next door, you also have the option of walking there for some dining variety (try the beignets!!). AND, with water taxi access to Downtown Disney from Port Orleans, you'll have quite a large choice of dining and shopping options within an easy float down the river! In fact, the boat make access to Downtown Disney easy. Its great to have an alternate method to travel, rather than by bus.

    Whichever resort you decide upon, be sure to request a room close to the main building, bus stop or pool (whichever is most important to you). While you're not guaranteed to get your room request, it never hurts to ask !
