December will be here before you know it, and all your pre-cruise planning will be well worth it when the big day arrives!

I do know of two online message boards that have forums dedicated to "Cruise Meets". You may be able to find other passengers with a son around six that will be sailing on your particular voyage on either Cruise Critic or the DisBoards.
