Ahoy there, Kim!
Thanks for bringing your question to us here at planDisney! You will love your Disney Cruise Line vacation in a Concierge category stateroom. With extra special amenities, like the Concierge Lounge, early booking windows for specialty dining, activities, and Port Adventures, your vacation will be a real treat.
Since you received a response directly from Disney Cruise Line, I wanted to make sure that I gave you the proper information for your question, so I checked with several Cast Members. I was told that, while the deposit is immediately non-refundable, you can transfer your deposit funds to another cruise date provided you modify your itinerary before the final payment due date.
Final payment for cruises up to five nights is due 120 days before the cruise for Concierge category staterooms and Suites. If the cruise is six nights or longer the final payment is due 150 days before the cruise. For some special fares, like the categories with restrictions, full payment is due when making the reservation and is non-refundable and non-transferable. The actual due date will be communicated when the booking is confirmed and will be on the reservation confirmation email that you received when booking.
Keep in mind that cancellation fees may apply if you cancel your reservation:
- 90 days or more Deposit per Guest
- 89-56 days 50% of vacation price per Guest
- 55-30 days 75% of vacation price per Guest
- 29 days or less 100% of vacation price per Guest
If you decide to modify to a
non-concierge stateroom, your non-refundable deposit will go towards any cancellation fees that may apply as long as it is before the final payment due date.
Kim, I know this is a lot of information, so if you have other questions don't hesitate to write back or contact a member of the Concierge Shoreside Services. Their contact information should be listed in your cruise confirmation. Whatever you decide, I'm sure you will have an extra magical vacation!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
