Planning a 2 days trip to Disney World for 5yr daughter. Is Animation to far travel time for such a short trip? Shes 47in. Can she ride many rides? Which parks are best for princess obsessed? Other resorts better? Should we get a meal plan for short trip?

    Greetings Whitney!

Welcome to the Royal Court of the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My six-year-old daughter is obsessed with Merida, Belle, Aurora, and Ariel (according to the quick survey I just did!), but suffice it to say, we know a thing or two about Princess-related activities at Walt Disney World!

First off, you have picked the perfect Resort for your stay! I toured the enchanting Little Mermaid rooms, and I am sure your little guppy is going to love it! Make sure you two get a picture with King Triton, it will make your picture collection complete!

Second, there are SO many magical things for the littles to enjoy at Walt Disney World. Most of the attractions don’t have height restrictions and are practically perfect for every age! I would suggest a day at Magic Kingdom Park and a day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We love how interactive Enchanted Tales with Belle is, and we never miss swimming on Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid. Your princess will also love holding court at Princess Fairytale Hall. Sofia the First reigns supreme at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but Miss Jessie is the Queen of the Wild West in Toy Story Land, and Minnie Mouse (along with friends!) hosts a delightful party at Minnie’s Seasonal Dining.

Speaking of food, if you want the convenience of pre-planned meals, go for the Disney Dining Plan! If the two of you are grazers (my littles are!), then the Quick Service Dining Plan is the perfect combination of magic and ease.

Whitney, if you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. I hope all your baby girl's dreams come true!
