I am planning a 2 day trip to Disneyland with my daughter her husband and 2 granddaughters 2 and 1. We are going to stay at the grand Californian. Is it possible to use the pool in the afternoon of the day we are checking before the actual check in time.

    Hi Cheryl,

It makes my heart so happy to hear that three generations of Mouseketeers are going to get to enjoy The Happiest Place on Earth together! You are going to LOVE experiencing the magic with your family and seeing it in new ways through your grandchildren's eyes!

You'll also love staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. With both luxurious and rustic touches, it's a gorgeous hotel, plus you'll love the attention to detail and excellent customer service! The great news is that you'll be considered a Guest of the Resort hotel for your entire stay, including the days of your check-in and check-out. So, yes, please feel free to enjoy the pools, activities, and any of the amenities even if you arrive before the official check-in time. Bell services will be happy to hold your bags for you if you'd like, and you'll find changing facilities near the pool area. Soak up as much magic and fun as possible!

Disney makes traveling with preschoolers easy peasy. Whether you're enjoying attractions that are perfect for the entire family, taking advantage of the Rider Switch service for any attractions the little ones aren't quite ready for, visiting a Baby Care Center for a quiet place to change or feed your grandchildren, renting a stroller to let little legs rest, or enjoying photos with the entire family in them thanks to the Disney PhotoPass photographers, you're going to have such an amazing time!

Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Cheryl. I'm sending pixie dust that you and your family have a truly magical vacation together!
