I am planning a 5 Day DC to Western Caribbean in Dec. 2013 (our first cruise ever) from Miami. We want to visit friends in Miami after the cruise, any suggestions on how to best get a rental car? Are there car rental companies near the cruise terminal?

    Ahoy Shantel!
A holiday sailing is the perfect choice for your first experience on the high seas with Disney Cruise Line!  The shimmering festive decor will be put you in the holiday spirit as you sail away for five days of fun in the Western Caribbean!
I'm glad you will have the opportunity to visit with friends after your magical voyage because it will make disembarking the ship a little easier!  There are several rental car agencies that do operate near the Port of Miami for your convenience.  Their offices are located off-site, but you will find that they do offer a courtesy shuttle from the port.  Currently, Avis/Budget, Dollar Rent-A-Car, Hertz, Vanguard Car Rental USA, and Amigo's Car Rental are your choices for your post-cruise stay in Miami.  I would suggest looking online to compare rates so you can maximum your budget.
I hope this helps, Shantel!  Please keep me posted as you continue to prepare for a wondrous holiday cruise next December!
    Have a magical day!
