Ahoy, Katherine!
Thanksgiving week is going to be such a perfect time to cruise! You will be able to celebrate
Thanksgiving, with Disney Characters dressed in special costumes and a traditional turkey dinner. Plus, the "Very Merrytime Cruises" will be in full swing, with holiday decorations galore! One of my favorite cruises with my family was over New Year's Eve. The giant Christmas tree in the atrium was gorgeous, and made for some wonderful family photos.
You are fortunate to have the opportunity to visit Disney's Private Island Paradise,
Castaway Cay. It is probably my favorite place on Earth to be. White sand beaches, crystal clear water, and Disney characters...what's not to love?
I have been to Castaway Cay in almost all months of the year. You can expect it to be warm enough for swimsuits and the water should be comfortable for swimming. On occasion, I have found the water to be a little too chilly, usually in January, February, and March. You will find plenty of shade on the Castaway Family Beach, and there are also plenty of beach chairs to relax on. You might also check out the crab races on CC, they are hilarious!
I hope you have a wonderful cruise and enjoy all of the Thanksgiving festivities! Please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any more questions that arise before you set sail.
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
