We are planning on a 7day Alaskan cruise next Sept. My son has a feeding tube and requires medical supplies daily. Is it possible to ship the feeding supplies to the ship so I don’t have to travel with them since we will be gone quite a few days?

    Ahoy Mandy!

Welcome back to planDisney. I'm so glad you sailed by with this important question today. I'd be happy to assist.

An Alaskan Cruise is high on my family's wish list of vacations. My fellow panelists Tracie and Amy A. both completed an Alaskan itinerary within the past 2 weeks and the pictures they shared have me prepared to pack my sweaters, boots, and waterproof coats right now. Their families enjoyed looking for seals and whales while soaking up the quiet beauty of nature on the outer decks and especially loved the variety of excursion options available. I think you're in for a spectacular trip when you embark this September.

Rest assured, Disney Cruise Line offers many accommodations for guests with disabilities and medical conditions, so I'm sure your family will be in excellent hands.  I reached out to a Cast Member for specific information about shipping supplies and they advised that you contact Special Services as each request is handled on a case-by-case basis. You can complete the Special Services Request Form or contact the team via email at SpecialServices@disneycruise.com at least 60 days in advance of your sailing. Be sure to include your Reservation Number(s), Sail Date, Ship Name and Stateroom Number(s), as well as all Guest Name(s) along with your phone number and e-mail address. You'll need to note the content details and quantity to be shipped, and if there is any special handling requested.

I understand your concern about traveling with all the supplies necessary to care for your son on this special 7-night voyage. If Special Services is not unable to accommodate your request, there are Rental and Delivery companies available that might be able to deliver supplies directly to the ship for you. You'll find details on page 20 of this information guide

I hope this was helpful Mandy. If we can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to let us know. You can also reach out to my pals Tracie and Amy A. directly with more itinerary questions. I'm sure they'd be happy to share details of their recent trips!

    Wishing you magic and memories,
    Amy
