Welcome aboard, Amanda! Isn't it exciting to begin planning your very first cruise with Disney? I remember planning our first sailing with Captain Mickey and browsing all of the fun activities on Disney Cruise Line's website. Since there is truly
something for everyone onboard, every single one of your family members will have a cruise tailor-made for them!
While there are two very large suites on each ship, the Walt Disney Suite and the Roy Disney Suite, that can sleep up to seven, they are much more expensive, so your best bet will probably be to book two
connecting staterooms. Though there are only four of us in my family, when we've sailed with extended family, we've loved having connecting staterooms. The door inside opens and you'll be able to leave it open to create one larger suite of sorts. If you choose verandah staterooms, you'll love that your stateroom host can even fold back the partition between the separate verandahs, creating one longer verandah to share, and another way to go back and forth between the spaces. Most of
Disney Cruise Line's staterooms include a split bath, meaning that there is one bathroom with the tub/shower and sink, and another with a sink and toilet. This is so helpful when one person is showering, that another can be using the other bathroom to get ready as well. With connecting staterooms, you'll have twice the number, so two shower/tubs with sinks, and two more bathrooms with toilets and sinks. That should help when all six of you are getting ready for the day!
Give the agents at Disney Cruise Line a call at (800) 951-3532 and they can help you choose and book the perfect staterooms for your family, Amanda! Have such fun planning!
