Hi Marina,
Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question to us. You have some dreamy 5-night Disney Cruise Line plans to choose from!
There are several factors that I consider when selecting my cruise, such as sailing dates, ports of call, and if any special themed events are happening during the cruise. So, let's take a look at the major differences between the two itineraries you are considering.
The
November 9th departure is a Western Caribbean Cruise, scheduled to include two days at sea and stops in Cozumel Mexico, and Disney's private island
Disney Castaway Cay. I enjoy days at sea because they allow you to explore the ship and take in all it has to offer, like special events such as
Beverage Tastings,
Senses Spa & Salon treatments, or Brunch at
Palo. And, I love spending a day at Castaway Cay relaxing and exploring the island.
The
November 18 departure is a Bahamian Cruise, scheduled to include one day at sea and stops in Nassau, Bahamas,
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and Disney Castaway Cay. I would love to visit Disney Cruise Line's newest paradise oasis, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and I never turn down a chance to visit Castaway Cay, and this itinerary provides both! In addition to the ports of call, this cruise is a
Very Merrytime Cruise. I recently returned from a Very Merrytime Cruise and it was extra festive! The decor only enhanced the experience in my opinion.
Both cruises will have
similar activities and the same dining experiences offered since they are both aboard the lovely
Disney Dream.
In terms of weather, the temperature will probably be the same for both cruises, typically sunny and tropically warm. You can check online for the average November weather for Cozumel and Nassau before making a decision.
I know there is a lot to think about, Marina, but the good news is that you can't make a bad choice with these two options. And a day aboard Disney Cruise Line is a better day anywhere else! If you have other questions, please sail by again and let us know.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
