Ahoy, Ashley!
Planning a voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line is so exciting! I almost like it as much as the cruise itself because there are so many fun things to research when planning a vacation on the high seas with Captain Mickey. And did you know Disney Cruise Line makes
cruising with little ones very easy? They offer lots of complimentary items like diaper disposal units, pack 'n plays and strollers to use onboard and ashore. My son was 18 months on our first sailing, and even though he doesn't remember his first cruise, I treasure the special memories we made like his first interaction with his all-time favorite character, Donald Duck! These are priceless to me, and I still love telling him the stories and showing him the pictures of his first magical vacation with Disney!
As you plan your first cruise, you will find that Disney Cruise Line charges for all passengers. But, the youngest sailors, ages six months through two years old, are charged a reduced rate. This rate is determined by a few factors including the category of stateroom you book and the sailing. If you want to get an idea of the rate you'll be charged for your little one, you can put in your information on the
Disney Cruise Line home page. There is a spot for travel party, date, destination, and departure port. Under travel party, you'll be able to put in your child's age at the time of travel and the "Rate Details" will be an option to click once the destinations, sail dates and itineraries open up. It will break down each person's fare for you. You can also call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 to speak with a reservation agent about pricing.
I hope I've steered you in the right direction, Ashley! Please write back if we can assist you with any additional questions.
Happy planning!
Nancy
