Hi Michael,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for sailing by with your great question. You must be counting down the minutes until your Disney Cruise Line holiday! Your sons are going to love every moment aboard
Disney Dream and I know you want them to be at ease, so let's get to it!
I have some good news for you, Michael. Though the
Edge club was designed specifically for tweens ages 11 to 14, there is some flexibility for 10-year-olds to participate. To make this possible for your son, stop by Edge when you board the ship and consult with one of the youth counselors there. One aspect you will want to note is that Edge participants can come and go as they like without parental permission. If that and other features of this space seem right for your 10, almost 11-year-old, and if space is available during your cruise, you can sign a waiver for him to participate with his brother. Your sons will receive a special sticker for their
Key to the World Card or a slider for their
DisneyBand+, so remember to bring those items with you when you visit on embarkation day.
While your sons enjoy their time at The Edge, I hope you plan to enjoy some
adult-exclusive activities on the ship! One of my favorite things to do is stop by
Cove Café to pick up a little snack and then relax by the
Quiet Cove Pool. You could also give a
Beverage Tasting seminar a try. I highly recommend the Mixology class to learn some great tricks of the trade from one of the lead mixologists onboard.
I'm thrilled you and your family have this holiday just days away, Michael! Thanks, again, for visiting us here at planDisney!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
