Planning cruise for April 2016-4 itineraries to choose from West or east caribbean on fantasy OR west or east on Magic-we cruised on the Dream in 2014-recommendations on days at sea, ports of call and crowds appreaciated also-thank you

    Ahoy, Kristen!

While you really can't go wrong with either itinerary, our family prefers a Western Caribbean Sailing. We have sailed the WC itinerary on both the Disney Magic and the Disney Fantasy, and I love them both! I would say whichever ship works for your dates and budget is the one to choose.

For my daughters, the opportunity to get into the water and interact with the sea life is at the top of their list. For this reason, they prefer the WC itinerary that includes a stop in Grand Cayman. Our favorite port adventure there was the "Island Tour and Snorkeling with Stingrays". In Cozumel, Mexico, we wanted to see dolphins, so we did the "Dolphin Swim at Dolphinaris" port adventure. We were face to face with graceful dolphins and had some very cool interactions.

When we sailed the Eastern Caribbean, we went to Coral World Ocean Park in St. Thomas and were able to touch and hold some sea creatures. In St. Maarten, we got on the Golden Eagle Catamaran and sailed to a lagoon to snorkel and then anchored near a local beach and enjoyed more snorkeling and playing in the sand.

I hope this helps with making your decision!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
