Hey there, Kelley!
I used to live in the Sunshine State, so I am very experienced with the crazy weather that happens in Florida in October.
The first thing that you will want to know is that there is no "normal" temperature in Florida. October will generally see highs in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-60s, but it can actually be much hotter, so be sure to check the weather before you leave.
Now, since Florida is a pretty humid climate, the highs and lows generally feel a bit more extreme. When I visit in October, I generally wear shorts and a T-shirt or tank top, but I always bring a jacket for the early mornings and evenings.
Workout gear is the cornerstone of my Disney wardrobe. I find that active fabric keeps me cool and comfortable. So, Kelley, I think that you will be fine in leggings, as long as you do not get any weather above the high 80s. Capri leggings, or leggings with mesh panels, may also be a little more versatile than full leggings.
Oh, Kelley, one other thing. Rain in Florida is unpredictable. I always
pack a poncho, and I put my little ones in rubber shoes. This way everyone is dry from head to toe as soon as the sun comes out. Well, at least we are dry until we take a spin on
Splash Mountain!Kelley, I just know you will have a wonderful, stylish, and comfortable time.
See you real soon!
