We are planning on coming to WDW in the middle of May and there is 13 of us all together and was wondering if you could recommend some affordable buffet restaurants in WDW and Animal Kingdom??

    Hi Audrey,

Buffets at the Walt Disney World Resorts are very popular and a lot of fun! One of the best reasons to dine at a buffet is because you generally have a character meet-and-greet included which is why they tend to be more expensive. However, when you factor in the time you are saving not waiting on a separate line to see a character, it can be worth it.

Some buffets only have characters at select times. When it is just a buffet, the price is cheaper. Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios and the Tusker House in Animal Kingdom offer dinner character free. This would make these meals cheaper for dinner than Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom or Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary who have characters greeting you.

Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my favorite restaurants and it is a buffet. I really love the selection of food and you can then walk around this beautiful resort afterwards.

1900 Park Fare is my favorite buffet. Dinner with Cinderella and her family is so worth it.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
