I am planning on coming to Disney my first time the week before Christmas with my son 5, daughter 4. I am a single father 37 and bringing my mom 67 and my brother 40 also. Where should we stay with enough room or is two rooms better. I am overwhelmed.

    Hi Jason!

Early & Mid December are great times to visit! The parks and resorts are decorated for the holidays and really put you in the mood to celebrate!

I have a couple of suggestions for rooms: a family suite or two rooms at a moderate resort. Both have their advantages: mini-kitchen for the family suite and extra space when you have two rooms. If you have two rooms, the other adults can also have a bit more privacy (if that's important).

A family suite at All Star Music resort features extra room and sleeps up to 6 people. These rooms also have 2 bathrooms and a mini-kitchen. This resort is in the value category. With a fun theme and a great price, this option might be the best way to go.

If you're considering two rooms (which may give you more space). My favorite resort in the moderate category is Port Orleans French Quarter. Our family really prefers the smaller size of this resort. After a long park day, its nice to know that everything you need is just a short walk away at your resort. A couple of other great bonuses for Port Orleans French Quarter are the boat transportation over to Downtown Disney (great for meals, shopping, or even a trip to DisneyQuest) and the ability to use the pool and amenities at Port Orleans Riverside. Having this option might be fun - if you're planning a day or two of downtime at your resort.

Port Orleans French Quarter recently went through a complete refurbishment too. One great addition to the resort are the queen-size beds that are brand new at the resort.

Plus, don't forget to sample some of the beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter - YUM!

If you do decide on two rooms, you can request that they be adjoining rooms. Disney can't guarantee that you'll receive two rooms together, but they'll do their best to try.

    Hope this helps!
