Hi John,
Hooray for planning a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You and are your family are going to have a BLAST together, and I can't wait for your kiddos to experience their very first trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! Between the mild weather, pretty fall decor, and fun seasonal events (including the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival...mmm!),
fall is a lovely time of year to visit!
Since Disney no longer mails informational packets to Guests at home,
Disney's website, the
Disney Parks Blog, the
My Disney Experience mobile app, and of course,
planDisney are the best sources for all things Disney-planning. You'll find all kinds of helpful information regarding
tickets,
Disney Resort hotels, and general information about how to go about
planning your visit. However, if you don't have easy access to that, Hakuna Matata...no worries! I have a few additional tips for you. First, could you visit your local library to see if they have a Walt Disney World Resort guidebook? There are several publishers of travel guides with lots of helpful information about planning a Disney vacation. Please just make sure that it's as recent as can be, as lots of planning tips have changed after last year's temporary closure due to COVID-19. Of course,
Cast Members are available by phone at (407) 939-5277 and would be happy to answer your questions and help you book your vacation. Call wait times are longer now than usual with so many Guests excited to
Return to a World of Magic, but that's certainly an option. Another option would be to find a travel agent who specializes in Disney vacations (also known as an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner) who could help walk you through everything you need to know and handle your reservations for you. Their services do not cost anything to you, and without access to many planning materials, it could come in super handy to have an expert walk through every step with you!
I hope this helps get you started, John! This is one vacation you and your family will cherish for years to come, so I'm sending pixie dust that it's, in the words of Mary Poppins, "Practically perfect in every way."
