I am planning to celebrate my daughter's birthday in Disney's Vero Beach Hotel. Any ideas how we can celebrate the event. She wants to build sand castle, have a picnic by the beach. Thank you

Hi there, Maria Aurora! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.

You are going to love Disney's Vero Beach Resort! It's the perfect combination of coastal beach resort mixed with Disney magic. I also love that you are celebrating a birthday on vacay! We give our kids the option every year to celebrate at Disney or have a birthday party. The mouse wins at least half the time!

A beach picnic sounds like a lovely way to celebrate a birthday. If you have a car while you're at the resort, there are multiple grocery stores nearby, and I highly recommend Publix for birthday cakes - they are delicious and do a fantastic job decorating. You can also grab her favorite food for her picnic there. Bring sand toys, or pick some up at Island Grove Packing Company.

At the resort, you can rent umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, and kayaks to add some adventure to her party! When you need a break from the sand and sea, stop by Wind and Waves Market, which has my absolute favorite Disney treat - Dole Whip! If you want to add an extra special start to her birthday, I'd suggest breakfast with Goofy and Pluto. Nothing beats pancakes with your favorite Disney friends!

Maria Aurora, if you want to contact the resort for additional celebration ideas, you'll find their events contact information here. If you have any other questions, you know where to find us. I wish your daughter a magical birthday!
