Hello there, Rosa, and welcome to planDisney!
Have you ever heard that old Disney song "Fortuosity?" It's from the 1967 movie
The Happiest Millionaire which was the last live-action musical film produced by Walt Disney before his passing. Anyway, your question made me think of this because, fortuitously, it was just announced that
Magic Key Passes will be going back on sale on November 6, 2024!
So you definitely came to us at the right time! If you study the
Magic Key Terms and Conditions, it states that, after purchasing a new
Magic Key Pass, you'll have one year from that date to activate the Pass. Magic Key privileges such as your discounts won't kick in until you activate the Pass. Once it is activated, it will be good for one year from that date. When you purchase the Pass, it won't ask you for a start date. You'll be able to make your first park reservations, though, and the Pass will become activated once you use it to enter a Park or use a fully paid parking benefit. After that, get ready for a year of Magic!
So be ready on November 6 to get in that online queue! If we've learned anything in the past few years, it's that Magic Key sales are unpredictable. We don't know how long this sales window will remain open and you could potentially get some Christmas shopping done early! The
Magic Key Buying Guide will help you through the process. And don't forget that, as a California Resident, you're eligible to sign up to make monthly payments for your Magic Keys.
Rosa, I wish you the best of luck if you decide to purchase during this upcoming sales window. If you have any further questions, please feel free to write back to us! You're always welcome at planDisney and we're happy to help!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
