I am planning on bringing a backpack into the parks everyday. So, I was wondering, where could I put my bag when I go on attractions? Is there an area in the ride cart I can secure my bag, or can I place it by a cast member. Thank you!!

    Hi there Janice!

I think you are very wise to carry a backpack into the park during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! When visiting the Disney Parks, I love having snacks, sunscreen, medication and other park touring essentials right at my fingertips. My family usually brings a medium-sized backpack into the theme parks and have always been allowed to carry it onto the attractions.

Depending on the attraction, you can simply wear your backpack, place it beside you or stow the bag on the floor of the ride vehicle. Several of the attractions have a dedicated bin in the ride vehicle for storing a backpack. When riding a thrill attraction, I do recommend tucking the strap around your leg for added security.

I hope this information helps. Please don't hesitate to visit us again with any additional questions that you may have as your vacation approaches. Best wishes for a magical trip, Janice!

    Happy Planning,
