Hi Chris! Thank you for coming to planDisney with your Walt Disney World vacation planning questions!
December is such a great time to visit Walt Disney World! The temperature is great, it usually doesn’t rain, and you can see holiday decorations at the theme parks and in the resorts! Be sure to check the weather frequently before your arrival, just in case! I went to WDW in December 2018 and FROZE! I definitely needed warmer clothing.
When booking your Holiday Inn Resort package on the
WDW vacation planning site, it includes your hotel stay and tickets. You can choose to add on a “
Disney quick-service dining card”, Ground transportation, or travel protection as well.
When going directly to the Holiday Inn website, we can see that the resort fee would be charged once you check-in. The resort fee is $35 nightly, and covers the following:
•
Scheduled transportation to all four Disney theme parks (possibly
Disney Springs in the future – this shuttle is not currently running. You can walk to Disney Springs from the Holiday Inn)
•
2 welcome drinks upon of arrival valid for soda, juice, well cocktail, house wine or beer
•
Coffee in the lobby from 7 AM – 11 PM
•
Afternoon cookies and lemonade from 4 PM – 6 PM at the bar
•
2 bottles of water per day
•
Local calls
•
800 calls
•
Refrigerators and microwaves in every guest room
•
Computer and printing access
•
24 Hour access to the fitness center
If you have a vehicle to park, there would also be a $20 per night to self-park or $28 per night for valet parking.
I hope this helps you with planning your magical vacation to Walt Disney World!
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
