Ahoy there, Aerin! Welcome, and thank you for your question.
Aerin, I like the way you think.
Disney Cruise Line has a variety of
stateroom categories, and many are designed to accommodate 4-5 guests. However, if the ship you are sailing on has reached capacity, even if you have a stateroom that can accommodate another person, you may not be able to add an extra person at a later time. It's a much better option to include your 17-year-old in the reservation from the beginning.
If you need to modify the reservation down the line, you may be able to modify it right online. You can
log into your reservation, and there will be options to change your travel party right there.
In some circumstances, you won't be able to modify your reservation online, but you can
call Disney Cruise Line at any point to ask about making changes to your travel party. Keep in mind, there may be cancellation fees, depending on when you make the changes, so go over the
Book With Confidence policy that is currently in place. Things have been a bit more flexible, given the global health climate, so it's a good idea to check back there periodically.
I hope you are able to book soon with no worries about your son missing out on all the fun! Maybe there are even some
Special Offers you'll be able to take advantage of - always check there first when booking!
Good luck, Aerin!
Anna
