Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sarah! I’m so happy to see that you’re considering a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your dogs.
I visited the
Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort last December and have plans to do so again this coming November with both of my dogs. I have to tell you, they loved hanging out with the family on the deck of our cabin!
When it comes to reserving your stay, make sure you’re booking a
Pet Friendly Disney Resort hotel. Along with the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort,
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans- Riverside Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort are also Pet Friendly.
You would be allowed two dogs per stay, at a fee of $50-$75 per night. Remember that these prices are subject to change.
In order to receive Housekeeping during your visit with your furry family, you will have to make an appointment with Housekeeping. Just dial the Housekeeping button on your in-room telephone to schedule a time. This can be a daily appointment, or you can have housekeeping visit every other day. Whatever works best for you. While the Cast Member is tidying up, you can take your dogs on a nice walk to enjoy the property.
Housekeeping staff will not enter your Disney Resort hotel room if the dogs are inside. When they are left alone, you are required to put the “do not disturb” hanger on the door handle to alert Cast Members that dogs are present.
Sarah, it was a really pleasant experience for my family to have our dogs with us during our vacation. I think you might like it too.
Don’t hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions. Helping you with all the details of your next
magical vacation is our pleasure!
Veronica
