Hi Maria,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for bringing your question over to us today. It is a privilege to help fellow Guests plan their vacations to the
Most Magical Place on Earth, and it is brilliant to help a fellow Brit. British Guests tend to travel for a little longer than domestic Guests, we usually stay for 14 days. Not only are you planning a vacation to Walt Disney World, but you are also planning to celebrate a BIG birthday.
Firstly, some good news. If you are visiting the Disney Parks using the 7-day or 14-day
UK Magic Ticket, you will have no problem visiting
Magic Kingdom, as park reservations are not required with that ticket at the time of writing. Now, let's talk about a couple of ways to celebrate your birthday!
Spending the day with your family at Magic Kingdom will already be a perfect way to celebrate your birthday, but you could consider a
Capture Your Moment session with a Disney PhotoPss Cast Member at Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland or Liberty Square. The personalised session lasts 20 minutes and will really capture the fun you are having together. If you would prefer a 40-minute session, you can book two sessions back-to-back. You can even download all of the images through the My Disney Experience App, as
Memory Maker is included in the price of the UK Magic Ticket.
Also, be sure to pick up a birthday button from the front desk of your Disney Resort Hotel or a Cast Member at Guest Relations locations in the theme parks, so both Guests and Cast Members can celebrate along with you! If you are planning to make a
dining reservation, you can choose to add on a celebration cake at the time of booking. What could be better than a restaurant full of Guests joining in with your family to sing Happy Birthday?!
I hope this gives you a few ideas to help celebrate your birthday with a little springing of pixie dust, Maria. I wish you and your family a magical holiday at Walt Disney World next year. As you continue to plan, please
reach out to me with any further questions you may have. I'd love to help!
Have a magical day,
Matt
