Hi there, Cynthia, and welcome to planDisney.
First and foremost, as a member of the "Fab 50 Club," happy almost birthday! I love your idea of celebrating in The Most Magical Place on Earth! To quote the fabulous Daisy Duck, "Oh, goody goody!" I would love to help you plan some magical birthday celebrations that will
take the cake!
I recently celebrated my own birthday at Walt Disney World Resort, and my first step in planning was exploring the
Enchanting Extras Collection. This is where you'll find all the "extra magical" experiences that are perfect for special occasions. Among all the pixie-dusted experiences available, the dessert parties are my absolute favorite! They allow you to watch the iconic "Happily Ever After" fireworks show from a prime standing location in front of Cinderella Castle or from your own personal seating at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, all while enjoying a magical dessert party! This event is popular for celebrating birthdays, as I have had the joy of joining in the singing of "Happy Birthday" for many Guests over the years.
Cynthia, what is a birthday without cake, right? Whether you prefer the sophisticated charm of
Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian or the "50's" fun at
50's Prime Time Café, you can order a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake for your table at select restaurants. These cakes are not only delicious but "Disney adorable!"
If you're searching for the ultimate way to "plus the magic" in your celebrations, I'd like to share what I requested for my birthday this year- the
Lightning Lane Premier Pass. My husband purchased our passes for EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, allowing us to experience every Lightning Lane attraction at our leisure. It was amazing! This included even the most popular rides, such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance!
Be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog because several new projects could be open by the time you arrive. Opening sometime this summer will be the new stage show at Hollywood Studios, "Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After," and a new nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom.
Cynthia, I think I could type for hours with suggestion after suggestion! There are so many amazing restaurants, photo sessions, spa experiences, and carriage rides, and I hope you'll find the perfect way to celebrate that is magical for you. Don't hesitate to reach out to me with questions about any of them. I'm happy to sprinkle a bit of magical confetti anytime!
No matter what you choose, be sure to ask a Cast Member for a celebration button when you arrive. This will give Cast Members and fellow Guests like me the opportunity to wish you a very happy birthday on your trip! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. Enjoy your magical trip!
