Welcome, Molly, to planDisney. I'm so happy to answer your question today. Really, I mean it! Answering
Disney vacation questions puts a smile on my face, so thanks for that!
Trips with large groups of people are a ton of fun at the
Walt Disney World Resort. Since there is so much to do and see around the resort, there is a plethora of options, meaning there is something for everyone. Well,
many somethings. My biggest tip when visiting with a big group is to plan at least one thing with everyone each day, often a
table-service meal or show. Then, people can explore in smaller groups to do the things that speak directly to them. And all of those shared experiences are times when you can all sit down, chat, and share everything you loved that day...or are excited to do!
While families and friends are typically able to visit you at your hotel, the pools at the
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels are for Guests staying at that particular hotel only. So while they can share a meal with you, explore the hotel grounds, and possibly sign up for some of the recreational activities, they will not be able to swim with you. Just make sure that if they are driving to visit you at your hotel, they provide the name of the Guest on the resort reservation, the room number, and provide a valid photo ID. Please note that at certain times of the year, parking may be limited to Guests with reservations for a stay, dining, or recreational activities at that hotel.
Now, if your check-in date is anytime from now through September 8, 2026, all registered Guests staying at an eligible Disney Resorts Collection Hotel can enjoy
complimentary water park admission on their check-in day. So, not only would you get to swim in a pool together, but you'd also be able to ride some pretty amazing water slides and attractions! Not to mention the lazy rivers! And Disney has confirmed that this perk will also return in the summer of 2027, so be sure to stay tuned to
Disney Parks Blog for announcements on specific dates for next year. But don't worry, if you are visiting any time in between, as long as they are open, you can all purchase a ticket for an epic
water park day to kick off your vacation, end it with a bang, or have a blast any time in between.
Molly, enjoy your family vacation to Disney World. It's bound to be full of magic, wonder, and memories to last a lifetime. If you have any other questions,
I'm here for you!
Wishing you magical adventures, both on land
and under the sea,
Matt
