Hi, Katherine! I love this kind of trip, and usually get to do one each year with my BFFs. It's a whole new (Disney) world when you travel with your friends.
Do you know that you can book
Disney Villa Resort Hotels to accommodate up to 12 guests? These resorts are the Disney Vacation Club properties, but you don't have to be a DVC member to reserve rooms there.
The 2-bedroom villas will have a king size bed in one room, and two queens in the second room, and then there are fold out options (always a fold out sofa, and sometimes a chair) in the living room. They also have two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, and your own washer and dryer. That means you can go home with all clean clothes, or pack lighter to save on luggage fees.
Brand new on the scene are the
Copper Creek Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. These can be described in three words. Ah. Ma. Zing. There are two bedrooms, one a master with a king sized bed and en suite bath, the second with a queen bed and a pull down smaller single bed. There is a fold out sofa and chair. The real atraction for my family was the fire place (which doesn't add heat to the room) and private hot tub - it was such an awesome experience to be sitting in the hot tub with the Magic Kingdom fireworks going off just across the lake.
I hope you have the most amazing time on your upcoming trip with your friends. Some of your best memories are waiting to be made!
