Planning on attending the Food and Wine Festival for the first time in Oct. Thinking of buying an annual pass and TW and paying cash at the booths. Is this a good choice or should we get a ticket and DDP to use snack credits? Don't know the prices of items

    Hi Deborah,

The Epcot Food and Wine Festival is my absolute favorite event at Walt Disney World. So. Much. Yum.

I am an Annual Pass holder and I have a Tables in Wonderland Card. My family has gotten HUGE savings from TiW. I love, love, LOVE it. But unfortunately the TiW card won't get you discounts at the Food & Wine booths. You can call (407) 566-5858 to receive a list of restaurants that have TiW discounts. (The vast majority do.)

Personally, I wouldn't count on just using snack credits for the booths either. The basic Disney Dining Plan gives you just one snack credit per day. My F&W strategy is to make a meal (or two or three or eight) out of the various small dishes at the booths. One credit per day wouldn't make a dent in this.

For more Food and Wine tips, I'm going to point you over to an independent website called disneyfoodblog.com. Disney Food Blog has EXTENSIVE coverage of the Food and Wine Festival including photos of nearly everything sold in the booths as well as pricing information. They even have a downloadable eBook dedicated to getting the most out of the Food & Wine Festival. (Full disclosure, I am a columnist at the Food Blog, but I was huge fan long before I wrote there.)

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you need additional assistance.
