    Planning atrip this summer with a 6 yr boy, for his enjoyment Im thinking of staying at AKL, for the location and convience I want to stay at Contemporary? Is it a hassle to travel back and forth from the parks from AKL? That is the main concern.

    Hi Heather!  Wow! You've chosen two of the best resorts Walt Disney World has to offer!  Animal Kingdom Lodge is an immensely breathtaking resort.  From the animals grazing outside your savannah window, to the unique cuisine offered by Jiko and Boma, Animal Kingdom Lodge is a feast for the eyes, ears and soul. 

    Disney's Contemporary Resort is an absolutely amazing resort with a prime location.  Within walking distance to Magic Kingdom, CR boasts amazing theme park views and one of the best dining experiences Disney can offer, the California Grill.  With respect to accessibility, I would recommend staying at the Contemporary, solely for the monorail access alone.  Its a breeze to be able to jump on the monorail and head to either Magic Kingdom or the TTC.  You can switch there for the monorail to Epcot.  To access HS or AK, there is a bus leaving from the front of the resort.  Although Animal Kingdom Lodge is a gorgeous resort, there are solely buses that access the resorts, which can make for long waits to and from the parks.
