We are planning to arrive around 11:00 in the morning. We hear we won't get our room until after 4. Everyone says they will hold your luggage for you. Is that safe?? My husband has to bring a computer for work and I want to make sure it will be safe.

Hi Terri! My family often arrives much earlier than the normal 3 p.m. check-in time at most Walt Disney World resorts. On occasion our room has been ready early in the morning, but on other trips it wasn't, and we've given our bags to Bell Services to hold while we visit the parks and wait for our room to be ready. My husband travels with computers and lots of electronics too, and of course, I always have my purse with me. We've given these valuable items to Bell Services several times, and have never had any issues. You'll be provided a receipt when you hand the items over and the number of bags you provide them will be noted on the receipt. You'll use that same receipt to re-claim your bags.  The particular resort at which you're staying can give you more information about how they keep the bags secure while they're holding them for safekeeping. If your husband is concerned about his computer, perhaps he'll feel more confident if he stores it in a locked bag and password-protects it before turning it over. My husband was initially concerned about turning over his valuable computers and camera equipment to Bell Services, but now that we have done so several times without any incidents, he feels quite comfortable entrusting those items to Bell Services.

Have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
