Hi, Julie!
It's great to hEAR from you again! I know you must be so excited to celebrate
New Year's Eve at the Walt Disney World Resort with your family. There's no better place to be than "The Most Magical Place on Earth" during the holidays.
It sounds like you have magical plans set for the last day of 2019 and first day of 2020! Disney's Animal Kingdom is an excellent choice as there are a few special events planned for this park. There will be some exclusive food and beverage offerings along with a New Year's countdown at midnight in front of the Tree of Life. And Discovery Island in DinoLand U.S.A. and Asia will be hopping with a DJ playing your favorite tunes! I know your Mouseketeers will love this festive atmosphere. Since
Disney's Animal Kingdom is home to so many animals, fireworks are not permitted in this park. The other parks will have
fireworks on New Year's Eve. Magic Kingdom's firework celebration will be shown both December 30 and 31 at 6:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. Epcot Forever in Epcot will be at 6:30 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
Disney's Hollywood Studios will have
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! at 6:30 p.m., Fantasmic! at 9:00 p.m., and
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular at midnight.
Magic Kingdom does have a fireworks spectacular each night, Julie. If you are planning on spending New Year's Day in this park, you'll be able to see
Happily Ever After at 8:00 p.m. I recommend securing a spot early in front of Cinderella Castle to enjoy this experience as it includes some stunning projections and magical music!
Julie, I'm so excited for your upcoming visit! I know many special memories will be made this holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Nancy
