Hi We have our planned vacation to Disney in July. We haven't made any plans for the water parks, and wanted some insight on them. Is it easier to stick with going to the different pools at the resorts? Are we able to go to the different pools?

Hi Lisa! A dip in the pool is a great way to beat the heat at Walt Disney World in the summer; however, the pools at the Disney resorts are for the sole use of guests staying at those resorts so you won't have the option of visiting pools at resorts other than your own. The only exceptions to this rule are for Disney Vacation Club members, who have some pool-hopping privileges, and guests of a few resorts (such as Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter) may use the pools at the sister resort.

If you're family enjoys swimming and frolicking in pools, you'd love the Disney water parks! Getting to a water park is super easy -- buses run directly from the resort hotels to the water parks. Blizzard Beach boasts one of the world's tallest and fastest water slides, but also has a relaxing lazy river for the less adventurous. Typhoon Lagoon has a tranquil tropical feel, and you can even snorkel with sharks.

If you have more questions as you're planning your Walt Disney World vacation, please don't hesitate to ask us here at the Moms Panel! We're happy to help!
