Hi Clinton!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney! Sending a HUGE congratulations your way! A Disney vacation is always something to be excited for, but this is taking it to a whole new level!
Ok…let’s chat about some extra special things to do at
Disney World for your honeymoon.
First up, I feel like watching the fireworks will be a must-do. There’s just something about fireworks when celebrating something as big as becoming newlyweds! And there are a few ways to make this extra special.
You could book a fireworks dessert party at Magic Kingdom or a fireworks dining package at Epcot (both are incredible…you can’t go wrong with your choice!). But if you’re looking for something for just the two of you, a
fireworks cruise could be the way to go!
Moving on...if you two are foodies, I highly recommend setting up a special dinner during your trip.
Victoria & Albert’s is the most epic of them all, in my opinion. They actually just celebrated retaining their Michelin star…it’s THAT good!
Other restaurants that I love for special occasions include California Grill at the Contemporary, Monsieur Paul at the France pavilion in Epcot, and Toledo at Coronado Springs Resort. Circling back to the fireworks (I promise this will be the last time I mention them), if you eat at California Grill, you’ll be able to access their outdoor patio and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from there.
If you’re looking for more adventure and a bit of a behind-the-scenes look at the parks, a tour would be a great addition to the trip. For a honeymoon celebration, I’d personally try to book the
Savor the Savanna tour at Animal Kingdom. It’s a good mix of fun and relaxation.
Back in your room, if you’re staying at a Disney World resort, you can set up an
in-room celebration, complete with sweets and champagne. If you want to stay out and about to try to experience as much as possible, reserving a spot at
La Cava Experience at Epcot or
Sangria University at Coronado Springs would be a great way to unwind.
Finally, I’m always a sucker for photos to look back on all the memories. Booking a
Capture Your Moment photo session would be a perfect way to do that.
Don’t forget to grab your “Happily Ever After” celebration buttons from the front desk of your resort or Guest Relations at the parks so the Cast Members can celebrate you! You can even have the pins customized at
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom.
Whew! Ok…I know that was a lot! But hopefully it gives you some good options to choose from. It’s good to note that a lot of these options are pending availability and require advanced reservations. With your trip right around the corner, I’d try to make your reservations as soon as possible.
I hope you have the BEST honeymoon!
