Ashley,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Swimming at Walt Disney World is an almost year-round perk of visiting the magic! While the evening temperature in March can drop down to below 60 degrees (13 to 14 Celsius), the midday temperature typically reaches more like 80 degrees (26 to 27 Celsius). For my teenagers, that is more than warm enough to enjoy a pool day!
As to crowd levels, mid-March can be moderately busy, since some schools now have their spring breaks earlier. It is hardly the peak time for those breaks, but enough do so that you should anticipate busy, but not over-crowded levels in the parks. I think it is a good time to go.
BONUS TIP #1Did you know that Disney Resort Hotels heat their resort pools year-round to around 82 degrees (about 28 degrees Celsius)? While they certainly do not reach hot tub temperatures, the added warmth usually is enough to take the chill out of the water, even on a cold day.
BONUS TIP #2One of the things I love about Disney is that at all of their resorts, complimentary towels are provided at all pools.
BONUS TIP #3If you want to plus up a pool day, consider the
cabana rentals at select resorts. We rented one at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on a recent trip, and it was fantastic! They offer a luxurious sanctuary, and offer amenities that make you feel like Disney's newest prince or princess!
