We planned our trip and intended to be at the Magic Kingdom om Feb. 29th. We just now realized the park will be open for 24 hours that day since it is Leap Year. Do you think the park will be extra busy that day?

Hi, Michelle!  I think because this is something that Walt Disney World hasn't done before, it's going to be hard to estimate how many people are actually going to be there for this incredible event!  There are websites, such as Touring Plans, who spend a lot of time trying to figure out which parks will be busy and when, and they are estimating about average size crowds for this time of year.

Part of what may help keep crowds from swelling to Christmas week proportions is that this is the middle of the week, locals are going to have to go to work, and really, families with young children may not be able to hang in there for the whole 24 hours.  You might also have people who think that the bulk of the crowd will go to the Magic Kingdom, so they'll choose to go to another theme park.

I have to tell you, if it wasn't for work, school, and after school activities, I'd be there!  I think it will be an amazingly fun time - even if I couldn't last the whole 24 hours!

Have a great time, whatever you end up deciding to do!
