Hey there, Philip!
Welcome to planDisney and you've come to the right place if you're planning to take your first trip to the Disneyland Resort! It's such a special place and means so much to all of us here at planDisney. It was Walt Disney's original Park and you can still see his hand in some of the design choices that were made. I love showing new visitors around and I know that you're going to have such a fantastic time!
First, let's get your reservation issue settled. Every visitor to the Disneyland Resort will need a valid ticket and Park reservation for the day of their visit. If you purchase your
Theme Park Tickets through the
Disneyland website, reservations will automatically be made for you as part of the Checkout process. When I check the
Reservation Availability Calendar, the dates that you've listed are still available for both Park Hopper and 1 Park Per Day Tickets. Reservations can become limited, so I encourage you to go ahead and purchase your tickets if you know when you'll be visiting.
Once you have your tickets and park reservations secured, the next consideration would be to make any
dining reservations you might want. These can be made 60 days before the date of your visit, so get an idea of which restaurants you might want to try. Personally, I love the
Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure and grab reservations there whenever I see them. But the great thing is that the Disneyland Resort has so many quick service venues available that I often visit without any reservations and do just fine.
Be sure to download the
Disneyland Mobile App to your smartphone prior to your visit. It'll serve as your Park map and inform you about those all important wait times. Familiarize yourself with how to
mobile order food because that will save you tons of time. Two of my favorite places from which to mobile order are the
Lucky Fortune Cookery in Disney California Adventure and
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Disneyland Park.
Philip, I hope that you're able to grab your tickets and reservations without issue. There's so much more that we can go over and we'd love to help you plan your vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth! If you have any more questions for us, please feel free to write back. You're always welcome at planDisney. Until next time!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
