I've planned a trip for February 1-5th. I've purchased the trip insurance, as I worry about inclement weather and winter illness. But I'm curious, what would actually happen if we were delayed for one of those reasons? Just a refund?

    Hi Ashley,

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  Your trip will be here before you know it - how exciting!

Adding vacation insurance to your Walt Disney World vacation package is a nice option for protecting yourself if something unexpected happens before or during your trip.  Hopefully you’ll never need it, but coverage is provided under certain circumstances if your trip is delayed.  According to the coverage schedule in the official Description of Coverage, the maximum coverage per day, per person is $200 (up to $600 per person maximum).  I’d recommend taking a look at that information for complete rules and details, and if you’d like to have it handy during your trip, you can take a printed copy along or have it bookmarked on your mobile phone.

I hope that helps, Ashley, and wishing you a magical (and uneventful!) vacation!
